The revision of "The Daily Grind" is difficult. I've just submitted "A Singular Being" to Critters with the hope of sending it back to ANALOG eventually.

By the way, Athena, many of the critiques of "The Daily Grind" I received from Critters concurred with your comments. The scene I'm revising now that's so difficult is Miryam's normal shift in the kitchen.
This story is difficult because certain details set the stage for passages that will follow.
I hope it works out, Linda. Revising is SO hard.
